God desires and deserves to be known in all the earth and to have a family of redeemed worshippers from among every tribe and tongue and nation. He sends laborers into the harvest in order to accomplish this.
The local church is God’s means of nurturing, sending and sustaining laborers for the harvest fields. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few—partly because we are losing them unnecessarily.
Missionary attrition is unacceptably high because often they are not adequately cared for on the field.
One reason missionary care is inadequate is that the body of Christ as a whole is neither sufficiently aware of the needs nor equipped to meet those needs.
God provides individuals and organizations to equip the body of Christ for doing the work of ministry (Ephesians 4).
"If the fruit of a Christian nonprofit is not equipping God’s people to bear fruit, the nonprofit has not fulfilled its purpose."
(from Ministry Increase) We wholeheartedly endorse this principle.
